IIWEY began with a simple but frustrating question: what happens when the truth on the road cannot be proven?

In October 2017, our founding team started with an experience that changed everything. Richard, the founder of IIWEY and an engineer by background, was involved in an unusual road incident: the vehicle in front suddenly reversed into his car, but without video evidence, the accident was mistakenly treated as a rear-end collision.

The deeper problem was clear. Drivers needed a reliable way to protect themselves, their vehicles, and the truth behind every incident.

In 2018, IIWEY launched its first dash cam model, the EC010, in the UK. At a time when many dash cams struggled with poor night visibility and small, hard-to-read displays, we focused on practical improvements that drivers could immediately feel.

The EC010 introduced brighter night recording with 8 supplemental lights and a large 4-inch display. In 2019, we introduced the DC01, focused on stable performance and clearer video quality.

That same year, we built our own factory and R&D team, allowing us to control the entire process from product design to manufacturing.

In 2020, IIWEY launched the S1, a 4K touchscreen dash cam with a newly designed touch operating system.

In the same year, inspired by the safety needs of Uber, Lyft, and rideshare drivers, we introduced the T1, a 3-channel dash cam with an interior cabin camera.

The T1 gained strong recognition in the U.S. market and marked IIWEY’s expansion into multi-camera dash cam systems.

In 2024, IIWEY introduced the N5, a 4-channel dash cam designed to capture front, rear, interior, and side views at the same time.

By adding side-view recording, the N5 helped solve a major blind spot in traditional dash cam protection: incidents that happen beside the vehicle.

This innovation was supported by a U.S. invention patent related to our adjustable in-car camera design, allowing the cabin lens to rotate for a more flexible recording angle.

As vehicles became more connected, we saw another problem. Many older cars were still reliable, but their infotainment systems felt outdated.

In 2024, IIWEY expanded beyond dash cams and introduced the iK7, a 10-inch wireless CarPlay screen designed to upgrade older vehicles with modern smart driving features.

Our goal was simple: help more drivers bring new technology into the car they already love.

In 2025, IIWEY introduced a new generation of 4G car camera with radar detection, combining remote vehicle monitoring with dash cam recording.

With 4G connectivity, cloud storage, instant app alerts, and 24-hour monitoring, drivers could check on their vehicle remotely and receive warnings before suspicious activity became serious damage.

For IIWEY, this was the next step in vehicle protection: not just recording what happened, but helping drivers respond in real time.

In the same year, IIWEY launched the iK11, an 11-inch wireless CarPlay screen designed for a larger, more modern in-car experience.

With the development of our own IIWEY OS, we redesigned the interface with a cleaner, tablet-style layout inspired by modern consumer technology.

The iK11 represents our belief that every vehicle deserves access to modern technology, whether it is brand new or many years old.
